Speech Therapy Practice 1.2

Speech Therapy Practice (STP) offers a structured approach for users to engage in speech exercises. Upon launching the application, users are presented with a selection of phrases. To initiate the listening mode, users simply press a button, articulate the chosen phrase, and then signal completion by pressing a stop button. Subsequently, STP provides feedback on whether it accurately recognized the spoken phrase, displaying any discrepancies if applicable. The application leverages iOS speech recognition technology, suggesting that if it comprehends the user, others are likely to do so as well.

The initial set of phrases encompasses commonly utilized speech therapy exercises, while the application allows for personalization to cater to individual needs. Users can track their progress as the app displays the frequency with which each phrase has been presented and recognized accurately. This feature also serves as a valuable tool for speech therapists, who can identify specific phrases that may require further practice based on user performance.

This application was developed with a personal mission in mind—supporting my father in his speech rehabilitation following a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). The emphasis on user-friendly design ensures accessibility for individuals seeking to improve their speech capabilities.
